Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), also known as caustic soda or caustic soda flakes, is a highly alkaline, corrosive inorganic compound in solid, flaky form. It has strong hygroscopic properties and can absorb moisture and carbon dioxide from the air, becoming sticky.
