Hydrochloric Acid (HCl)

Hydrochloric acid is a clear, pungent, highly corrosive mineral acid. In its industrial grade, it is typically used in concentrations of 31–33%. It is naturally found in the stomach as gastric acid.

Warnings: Can cause severe skin and eye burns, inhalation hazards, and corrosion. Should be handled with extreme care.

Water treatment

Household cleaning agents

Oil well acidizing

Regeneration of ion exchangers
